  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Priority is given to first-time homebuyers.
  • Geographic restrictions: Homes located in ARCH member cities in East King County: Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue, Newcastle, Issaquah, Sammamish, Kenmore, Woodinville, Duvall, Bothell, and unincorporated King County.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for ARCH Affordable Homeownership Program

Step 1: Review eligibility requirements on the ARCH Homeownership Program page at archhousing.org. Submit an ARCH program application and provide income and asset documentation. Complete a HUD-approved homebuyer education course. Once approved and pre-qualified for financing with a participating lender, browse current ARCH home listings (located in mixed-income, market-rate developments). Make an offer on an available ARCH unit; purchase proceeds through standard escrow subject to the ARCH resale restriction.

Notes

ARCH manages an inventory of 900+ resale-restricted homes created through inclusionary housing policies in East King County cities. Inventory turns over as current owners sell. Combine with the ARCH DPA Loan and WSHFC programs for additional assistance.
