How to Apply for NIFA Homebuyer Assistance Program (HBA)
Step 1: Apply through a NIFA participating lender. Complete an approved homebuyer education class before closing. Minimum borrower contribution of $1,000 from buyer's own funds. Requires 640 minimum credit score with DTI up to 45%, or 660 minimum credit score with DTI up to 50%.
