Homebuyer Programs in Rogers, AR (2026)
Rogers is a fast-growing city in Northwest Arkansas and part of the booming Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metro area, home to Walmart headquarters and a thriving economy driven by retail, logistics, and technology. The median home price is approximately $380,000, reflecting the region's strong demand. While Rogers does not currently offer a city-funded down payment assistance program, buyers here benefit from robust state and nonprofit options. Partners for Better Housing offers up to $25,000 in direct down payment assistance or up to $35,000 through its Pay-It-Forward interest-free loan program for households at or below 100% of the area median income. The ADFA Down Payment Assistance Program provides $1,000 to $15,000, and the Arkansas Dream Down Payment Initiative offers up to $10,000 as a forgivable loan. Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Arkansas also provides affordable homeownership through its zero-interest mortgage program. By stacking state and nonprofit programs, Rogers buyers can access significant assistance toward their home purchase.

How to Apply
Step 1: Check your eligibility. Many programs require household income at or below 100% of the area median family income for the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metro area. ADFA programs have their own income limits that vary by household size and county.
Step 2: Complete homebuyer education. The Northwest Regional Housing Authority offers a free HUD-approved homebuyer education course on a monthly basis. Call 870-743-6779 for upcoming class dates. Credit Counseling of Arkansas also offers pre-purchase counseling.
Step 3: Contact Partners for Better Housing to apply for up to $25,000 in direct down payment assistance or up to $35,000 through the Pay-It-Forward interest-free loan program. Visit partnersforbetterhousing.org or contact their office for an application.
Step 4: Get pre-approved for a mortgage. Work with an ADFA-approved lender to also apply for the ADFA Down Payment Assistance Program ($1,000 to $15,000) or the Arkansas Dream Down Payment Initiative (up to $10,000). Visit the ADFA website for a list of participating lenders in Benton County.
Step 5: Find a home within program requirements. Each program may have its own purchase price limits or property standards. Your lender and housing counselor can help you understand the specific limits that apply.
Step 6: Submit your applications and close on your home. Work with your lender and housing partners to coordinate the timing of multiple assistance sources to maximize your total benefit at closing.
