How to Apply for City of Biloxi Homebuyer Assistance Program
Step 1: Confirm you are a first-time homebuyer (have not owned a home in the past 3 years) and have been a Biloxi resident for at least one year
Step 2: Contact the City of Biloxi Community Development Department to request an application and learn about current income limits
Step 3: Get pre-approved for mortgage financing from a bank or participating lender
Step 4: Complete a homebuyer education course through a HUD-approved counseling agency
Step 5: Provide documentation including proof of income, tax returns, proof of Biloxi residency, and identification
Step 6: Work with the city to identify an eligible property within Biloxi city limits
Step 7: Upon approval, the forgivable loan of up to $30,000 is applied at closing toward your down payment and closing costs
