How to Apply for CMCA Homeownership Assistance (80/20 Shared-Equity Model)
Step 1: 1. Contact CMCA's Boone County Family Resource Center at 800 N Providence Road, Suite 104, Columbia, MO — phone 573-443-3500. 2. Ask about current Housing Development inventory and the 80/20 shared-equity homeownership path. 3. Enroll in CMCA's Financial Opportunity Center coaching to work on credit, income, and savings. 4. Complete HUD-approved homebuyer education. 5. Get pre-approved with a CMCA-compatible lender for the 80% portion. 6. Close with CMCA holding the 20% soft-second lien; you own and occupy the home.
