Eligibility
- Income limits: Must demonstrate need for decent, affordable housing and show ability to pay an affordable mortgage. Income guidelines set by local Habitat affiliate based on household size and AMI.

- Geographic restrictions: Serves Dubuque County and Jackson County, Iowa. Current focus includes a 14-home pocket neighborhood under development in Dubuque.

How to Apply for Dubuque and Jackson Counties Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program
Step 1: Complete a homeownership application with Dubuque and Jackson Counties Habitat for Humanity at 900 Jackson St, Dubuque. Call (563) 556-2195 or email director@habitatdjc.org. Selection is based on level of need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner with Habitat. Accepted applicants contribute 200-300 hours of sweat equity helping build their home and attend homeownership education classes.
