- Geographic restrictions: Available only in Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, and Washington Counties.

How to Apply for ECICOG First Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program
Step 1: Contact the East Central Iowa Council of Governments through their website or by phone to confirm eligibility, request an application, and coordinate with a participating lender. Applicants must also complete HUD-approved homebuyer education.
