How to Apply for Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity Homebuyer Program
Step 1: Application period is December 1 through February 28 each year. Applicants must register for and attend a mandatory application class before receiving an application — register at gihabitat.org/apply or call the Habitat office at 308-385-5510. Selected homebuyers complete 500 hours of sweat equity (including 22 hours of homeowner education classes) before purchase.
