How much assistance
Up to $20,000 in down payment assistance; employees with household income under $150,000 may qualify for an additional $10,000, for a potential total of up to $30,000 (Forgivable Loan)
Five-year forgivable loan at 0% interest, forgiven provided employment and primary residence criteria are met over the 5-year period.
Eligibility
- Income limits: No income restriction for the base $20,000. Additional $10,000 available for households earning less than $150,000 annually.
- First-time buyer required: No
- Geographic restrictions: Must purchase in one of nine eligible neighborhoods: Buckeye-Shaker, Central-Midtown, Fairfax, Glenville, Hough, Little Italy, St. Clair-Superior, University Circle, or Southwest East Cleveland.
- Homebuyer education required: No
How to Apply for Greater Circle Living Home Purchase Program
Step 1: Eligibility is determined by the employer. Contact your human resources or benefits department at Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, or University Hospitals to confirm eligibility. Then apply through Greater Circle Living.
Notes
Employer-assisted housing benefit. Loan can only be used for down payment, closing costs, or mortgage points. Must be a primary residence in the designated area. Anchor institutions pledged $3.2 million to continue the program.
