Deferred for the life of ownership. The loan is due upon sale, refinance of the first mortgage, or when the borrower no longer occupies the home as primary residence.

Eligibility

  • Income limits: Household income at or below 80% AMI, or 81-100% AMI if the household is African American or the property is in a qualified census tract.
  • First-time buyer required: No
  • Geographic restrictions: Covers Hinds County, Forrest County, Harrison County, and Lee County, MS.
  • Homebuyer education required: No

How to Apply for Grow Homeownership Mississippi (RCLF)

Step 1: Must first receive mortgage pre-approval from Renaissance Community Loan Fund or Gum Tree Mortgage. Contact RCLF to begin the application process.

Notes

RCLF is a CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution). Funds secured as a subordinate lien on the home. Home must be primary residence and owner-occupied for the life of ownership.
