Eligibility

  • Income limits: Income must fall within minimum and maximum guidelines adjusted for household size, announced prior to each application round.
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years. Must not have had a foreclosure in the past 4 years.
  • Credit score minimum: 600
  • Geographic restrictions: Must live or work in Davidson, Cheatham, Dickson, Robertson, or Wilson County for at least 6 months prior to application.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville Homeownership Program

Step 1: Applications are accepted during open application periods announced on the Habitat Nashville website. Applicants must have a minimum FICO score of 600, demonstrate stable income for at least 2 years, and have at least 6 months on their current job.

Notes

Habitat Nashville builds 30-40 homes annually in five counties. Applicants must complete homebuyer education classes and contribute partnership hours. Application periods are periodic, not rolling.
