How to Apply for Habitat for Humanity of the Pine Belt
Step 1: Contact Habitat for Humanity of the Pine Belt at (601) 582-4663 or visit their office in Hattiesburg
Step 2: Attend an informational session to learn about the program requirements and application process
Step 3: Submit a completed application including proof of income, residency, and current housing situation
Step 4: If selected, complete the required homebuyer education course
Step 5: Fulfill your sweat equity hours by helping build your home and volunteering on other Habitat projects
Step 6: Close on your affordable Habitat mortgage and move into your new home

Incorporated in 1990. Homebuyers must contribute sweat equity hours helping build their home and other Habitat homes. Partner families selected through an application process based on need, ability to repay, and willingness to partner.
