- Income limits: 30% to 60% of Area Median Income (approximately $22,000 to $33,000 annually)
- First-time buyer required: No
- Geographic restrictions: Must reside in Cabell County, WV for at least 6 months. Also serves Wayne County, WV, Lawrence County, OH, Scioto County, OH, Boyd County, KY, and Greenup County, KY.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State Homeownership
Step 1: Attend a homeowner application seminar (the only time applications are distributed). Call (304) 523-4822 for upcoming seminar dates. Applicants are selected based on level of need, willingness to partner with Habitat (sweat equity), and ability to repay an affordable mortgage.
Notes
Typical timeline from application to move-in is 18-24 months. Applicants must live in substandard, deteriorating, or overcrowded housing and have steady dependable income.
