How to Apply for Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity
Step 1: Applications open the first week of July and are due the first week of August each year. Selected families are matched to a home that will be built approximately two years after application. Each Partner Family must complete 300-550 sweat equity hours, demonstrate ability to pay an affordable mortgage, and show housing need (overcrowding, structural problems, or paying more than 30% of gross income for housing). Notes
Sweat equity hours can be completed on construction sites, at the ReStore, in the office, or by attending home maintenance and financial fitness classes.
