How to Apply for Lakewood Ohio HOME First-Time Homebuyer Program
Step 1: Contact the City of Lakewood Division of Community Development at 216-529-HOME (4663) or dcd@lakewoodoh.net.
Step 2: Complete HUD-certified housing counseling as required by the program.
Step 3: Verify your household income is at or below 80% of the Area Median Income.
Step 4: Find a home within Lakewood city limits that meets purchase price limits ($149,000 for single-family/condo or $191,000 for two-family).
Step 5: Submit your application. The assistance is structured as a 0% interest, no monthly payment second mortgage.
