  • Income limits: 30% to 70% of Area Median Income, adjusted for household size
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned property within the last 3 years.
  • Geographic restrictions: ADU homes are located throughout Loudoun County in communities such as South Riding, Stone Ridge, Brambleton, and Lansdowne.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Loudoun County Affordable Dwelling Unit (ADU) Purchase Program

Step 1: Apply through the Loudoun County ADU Purchase Program. Priority is given to households where primary applicants live and at least one works in Loudoun County. Current wait time for Priority 1 applicants is approximately 3-4 years. Contact the ADU Program at 703-737-8043.
