How much assistance
Up to 10% of the sales price or $25,000, whichever is less (Forgivable Loan)
Forgiven at 20% ($5,000) per year over 5 years, as long as the borrower maintains Loudoun County/LCPS employment and occupies the property as their primary residence.
Eligibility
- Income limits: $49,200 to $114,750 (30% to 70% of Area Median Income, regardless of family size)
- First-time buyer required: No
- Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a home within Loudoun County.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for Loudoun County Public Employee Homeownership Grant (PEG)
Step 1: Submit the PEG application packet to the Loudoun County Department of Housing and Community Development at P.O. Box 7000, Leesburg, VA 20177. Applicants must be full or part-time employees (minimum 20 hours/week) of Loudoun County Government, Courts and Constitutional Officers, or Loudoun County Public Schools for a minimum of 12 months. Notes
Only available to employees of Loudoun County Government, Courts and Constitutional Officers, and Loudoun County Public Schools. Temporary, seasonal, and probationary employees are ineligible. Buyers must contribute a minimum of $1,000 of their own funds. Debt-to-income ratios exceeding 34/45 may not be eligible.
