  • Income limits: Minimum income of $35,000 per year required.
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer with inadequate current housing.
  • Geographic restrictions: Homes built in Milwaukee neighborhoods including King Park, Harambee, Midtown, and Lindsay Heights.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program

Step 1: Watch a free online homeowner orientation. Submit an application. If accepted, complete 210 hours of sweat equity on construction sites or in ReStores. Home construction takes 12-18 months.
