Step 1: Contact NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley at 401-762-0993 or visit their office at 719 Front Street, Suite 103, Woonsocket, RI 02895. No construction experience is required. Families work together under the guidance of a construction supervisor to build their own homes.

Notes

Families build their own homes with other families, saving up to $20,000 in construction costs through sweat equity. NWBRV also offers HUD-approved homebuyer education, financial fitness coaching, and credit counseling in English and Spanish.
