How to Apply for NFC Journey to Homeownership (J2H)

Step 1: Contact NFC at 515-246-0010 or visit neighborhoodfinance.org to begin pre-qualification. Complete HUD-approved homebuyer education. Work with an NFC loan officer to apply for an NFC first mortgage and J2H DPA together. Identify an eligible property within NFC's lending area (Linn County, including Cedar Rapids). NFC underwrites the first mortgage and J2H loan as a combined package. Close with J2H funds applied toward down payment and closing costs.

Notes

J2H is NFC's broader down payment program, paired with an NFC first mortgage. Can be combined with IFA state programs. Some target neighborhoods may qualify for the higher $15,000 tier. Contact: 515-246-0010.
