How to Apply for Overland Park Portfolio Homes Pilot Program
Step 1: Choose from 26 pre-reviewed home plans on the City of Overland Park website. Submit a building permit application referencing the selected Portfolio Home. Plans range from under 1,000 sq ft to about 2,200 sq ft (single-family and duplex).
Notes
Pilot program approved April 2026 by Overland Park City Council (11-1 vote). Designed to address the "missing middle" of housing. Combine with Habitat KC DPA or KHAP for additional cost savings on new construction.
