Eligibility
- Income limits: Low-income households (typically below 80% of Area Median Income, varies by family size).
- First-time buyer required: Yes — Applicants may not have owned a house or land for the three years before applying (mobile homes excluded).
- Geographic restrictions: Applicant(s) must have lived in El Paso County for at least one year before applying. All household members must be U.S. citizens or Legal Permanent Residents. Home must be a primary residence.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program
Submit an application through pikespeakhabitat.org or contact Pikes Peak Habitat at 719-475-7800 (3730 Sinton Rd., #100, Colorado Springs, CO 80907). Approved homebuyers complete 200 hours of sweat equity, mandatory homebuyer education classes, and monthly financial reviews while their home is being built.
