  • Income limits: At or below 80% of Area Median Income
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer who is mortgage-qualified.
  • Geographic restrictions: Kanawha, Putnam, Boone, and Fayette Counties in WV.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for RCCR Affordable Homeownership Program

Step 1: Contact RCCR Housing Counselor Jim Gordon at (304) 346-6398. RCCR is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency that provides pre-purchase counseling, homebuyer education workshops, and budget/credit counseling.

Established in 1987. RCCR has constructed over 50 affordable single-family homes in Kanawha and Putnam Counties since 2001. Also offers foreclosure prevention counseling and reverse mortgage counseling. Located at 1516 Washington Street East, Charleston, WV 25311.
