Silent second with no interest and no monthly payments. Due with a share of appreciation (ratio of the City loan to the purchase price) when the home is sold, rented or transferred.

Eligibility

Income limits: Up to 200% of AMI. Market-rate DALP limits: $201,700 (1 person), $288,200 (4), $380,400 (8).
First-time buyer required: Yes — No adult household member may have had an ownership interest in a residential unit in the last three years.
Geographic restrictions: City and County of San Francisco. Applications are ranked by lottery.
Homebuyer education required: Yes
