Eligibility

  • Income limits:
    Targeted to low- and moderate-income households who demonstrate housing need and ability to repay an affordable mortgage.
  • First-time buyer required: No
  • Geographic restrictions:
    Applicant must have lived or worked in Santa Fe County for at least one full year at the time of application. At least one applicant must be a lawful permanent resident of the United States. No foreclosure or bankruptcy discharge in the past three years.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program

Call the Santa Fe Habitat office at (505) 986-5880 to express interest. Habitat will collect contact information and reach out when accepting new applications. Each adult signing the mortgage commits 168-240 hours of sweat equity (working on Habitat homes, your own home, or other Habitat-related work). Remaining hours can be completed by family or friends.
