How to Apply for Topeka Opportunity to Own (TOTO) Program
Step 1: Save at least $500 toward your down payment. Complete 12 hours of homebuyer and maintenance education through Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc. Apply for the loan with HCCI at 785-234-0217. Home purchase price cannot exceed $75,000.
Notes
Funded by federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program. The $75,000 purchase price cap is well below Topeka's overall median home price (~$190,000), so this program is best suited for buyers targeting smaller, older homes that may also need the repair financing.
