West Side Community Land Trust Homebuyer Program
How much assistance
Affordable homes at approximately $170,000 in West Charlotte. Buyers own the home; land remains in community trust permanently. (Zero-Interest Loan)
Community land trust model — buyer owns the home and builds equity, but the land remains owned by the trust in perpetuity. Resale restrictions ensure long-term affordability. Upon resale, buyer receives their equity plus a share of appreciation as defined by the ground lease.

Mecklenburg County has partnered with West Side CLT to secure properties (32 houses in Hoskins neighborhood). Buyers should fill out homeownership interest referral form on westsideclt.org.
