First-Time Home Buyer Programs in Wyoming (2026)

By Tyler Thompson · Licensed Real Estate Agent

Wyoming's state homebuyer programs come from the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA). Its down payment assistance lends up to $15,000 toward down payment, closing costs and prepaids, with a 620 credit score and $1,500 of buyer funds (a gift is allowed). Homestretch DPA is a 0% loan with no monthly payment, due on sale, refinance or after 30 years, and pairs with the First-Time Homebuyer, Spruce Up and Edge loans. Amortizing DPA pairs with the Advantage loan and is repaid over up to 10 years.
