By Tyler Thompson · Licensed Real Estate Agent
Nevada's state down payment assistance runs through the Nevada Housing Division's Home Is Possible (HIP) program. Repeat and first-time buyers with income up to $165,000 can get up to 5% of the loan amount on homes up to $832,750. HIP for First-Time Homebuyers adds up to 4% as a 0% non-forgivable second with lower county income limits ($105,500 for 1 to 2 people in Clark County). Full-time K-12 public school teachers can get $7,500 forgivable after 5 years through December 31, 2026. All HIP loans need a 640 credit score and a homebuyer education course.
