How to Apply for Alachua Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program
Step 1: Complete the application process including family selection review. Must participate in 12 educational workshops and an 8-hour homebuyer education class. Families are selected based on need, willingness to partner, and ability to repay. Less strict credit requirements than traditional lenders (510 minimum vs. typical 670). Homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity in the construction of their home.
