Eligibility
- Income limits: Must meet income and credit guidelines set by Atlanta Habitat for Humanity.
- First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer or fall within certain exceptions.
- Geographic restrictions: Must have lived or worked in Fulton, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Dawson, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, or Gwinnett County for the past year.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program
Step 1: Submit an interest form at atlantahabitat.org when the program is accepting applications. Must maintain a minimum $500 daily bank balance for 6 consecutive months before applying. Must complete 250 sweat equity hours within one year of move-in (at least 100 by homeowner/household members).
