How to Apply for Bennington County Habitat for Humanity Homeownership Program
Step 1: Complete a homebuyer application at benningtoncountyhabitat.org. Applicants must demonstrate need for decent housing, ability to make affordable monthly payments, and willingness to partner with Habitat. Each household member 18+ must complete a minimum of 200 hours of sweat equity. A $500 down payment and closing costs savings are required. Typical timeline is 18-24 months from acceptance to home delivery.
