  • Geographic restrictions: Available in qualifying areas in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Vermont where Berkshire Bank operates
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Berkshire Bank Down Payment Assistance Grant

Step 1: Contact Berkshire Bank mortgage department to apply. Must meet income eligibility requirements (up to 80% AMI) or purchase in a qualifying low-to-moderate income census tract. Two-family buyers must also complete a landlord training course. Available first-come, first-served.

Notes

Can be combined with other local, state, and federal down payment assistance programs. Two-family borrowers must take both homebuyer and landlord training courses.
