How to Apply for Bowie First Mortgage Assistance Program

Step 1: Complete a HUD-certified homebuyer education and homeowner counseling program within one year of applying. Obtain a home inspection and termite inspection. Mail or hand deliver application to: Office of Grant Development and Administration, Mortgage Assistance Program, 15901 Fred Robinson Way, Bowie, MD 20716.

Notes

Specifically targets teachers, persons with disabilities, City of Bowie government employees, and police officers. Purchasers must have a minimum of $1,000 of their own funds. The $2,000 city grant is matched dollar-for-dollar by Maryland DHCD Community Partners Incentive Program (CPIP) for a total of $4,000.
