  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a single-family or two-family home in the City of Brockton.

How to Apply for Brockton First Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program

Step 1: Complete a homebuyer education course through NeighborWorks Housing Solutions (available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese). Get pre-approved for a mortgage. Find a home in Brockton. Apply through NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, which administers the program in partnership with the Brockton Redevelopment Authority. Contact NeighborWorks at 617-770-2227 ext. 165.
