How to Apply for City of Galveston Homebuyer Assistance Program (HAP)

Step 1: Contact the City of Galveston Grants & Housing Department at (409) 797-3820. Must complete an 8-hour homebuyer education course and contribute minimum $500 of own funds.

Funded through HUD HOME Investment Partnership Program. City receives approximately $1.4 million annually from HUD. Funds available on first-come, first-served basis. Home must pass HUD Housing Quality Standards.
