Eligibility
- Income limits: Cannot exceed 80% of the area median income per family size
- First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer, displaced homebuyer, or not have owned a home within the last three years.
- Geographic restrictions: Must be a resident of Gaston County (excluding city limits of High Shoals or Spencer Mountain). Also available to residents of Kings Mountain city limits in Cleveland County.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes

Funded by HUD HOME Program. Pilot program available December 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 or until funds are depleted. Funds cover 3.5% down payment with the remainder applied to closing costs. Compatible with FHA, USDA, and some conventional loan products.
