How much assistance

Up to $2,000 for down payment and up to $3,000 for closing costs
Five-year, zero-interest, deferred loan. Does not need to be repaid unless the property is sold, transferred, refinanced, or otherwise disposed of within the five-year period.

  • Income limits: Gross annual income must not exceed 80% of HUD median income for Pine Bluff
  • First-time buyer required: No
  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a home within Pine Bluff city limits. Eligible properties include homes on the open market, HUD-repossessed homes, or for-sale-by-owner homes.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for City of Pine Bluff Home Buyer Assistance Program

Visit the City of Pine Bluff Economic and Community Development Department at 716 S. Georgia Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome. Call 870-543-1820 for more information. A minimum of $500 toward the down payment from the buyer is required. Housing counseling is mandatory.
