How much assistance
Up to $2,000 for down payment and up to $3,000 for closing costs (Deferred Loan)
Five-year, zero-interest, deferred loan. Does not need to be repaid unless the property is sold, transferred, refinanced, or otherwise disposed of within the five-year period.
Eligibility
- Income limits: Gross annual income must not exceed 80% of HUD median income for Pine Bluff
- First-time buyer required: No
- Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a home within Pine Bluff city limits. Eligible properties include homes on the open market, HUD-repossessed homes, or for-sale-by-owner homes.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes
How to Apply for City of Pine Bluff Home Buyer Assistance Program
Step 1: Visit the City of Pine Bluff Economic and Community Development Department at 716 S. Georgia Street, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome. Call 870-543-1820 for more information. A minimum of $500 toward the down payment from the buyer is required. Housing counseling is mandatory.

Funded through CDBG/HOME federal funds administered by the city. Buyer must contribute a minimum of $500 toward the down payment. Closing costs covered do not include prepaid items.
