How to Apply for City of Tacoma Down Payment Assistance Program

Step 1: Complete the WSHFC 5-hour homebuyer education class at heretohome.org.

Step 2: Get pre-approved through a WSHFC participating lender.

Step 3: Find a home within eligible Tacoma city limits and get the property pre-approved for the program.

Step 4: Your lender submits your file to the City of Tacoma Housing Division for DPA approval.

Step 5: Close on your home with the DPA disbursed at closing.
