  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a home within the City of East Orange.

Step 1: Contact the City of East Orange Neighborhood Housing & Revitalization office at 973-266-5411, ext. 5412 or email lynn.white@eastorange-nj.gov. Attend a HUD-approved housing counseling class and obtain a certificate. Submit application with required documentation.

Minimum assistance is $1,000 per dwelling unit. Funds can be used for down payment, closing costs, essential home repairs, or interest/mortgage buy-down.
