New Jersey offers some of the most generous homebuyer assistance in the country through the NJHMFA. The NJHMFA Down Payment Assistance Program provides up to $15,000 as a forgivable loan, and the First Generation Down Payment Assistance adds another $7,000 for first-generation buyers.
