How to Apply
- Step 1:
Check your eligibility. Most programs require household income at or below moderate-income limits for Middlesex County. The NJHMFA DPA requires that you have not owned a home in the past three years. The Middlesex County American Dream program requires at least one year of county residency.
- Step 2:
Complete homebuyer education. A HUD-approved course is required for the NJHMFA DPA and the Middlesex County American Dream program. The Housing Coalition of Central Jersey at PRAB offers courses and can be reached at (732) 249-9700. The Central Jersey Housing Resource Center also provides free homebuyer counseling.
- Step 3:
Apply for the Edison Township program. Visit the Affordable Homes New Jersey website to submit a preliminary application for the Edison Township Affordable Homeownership Program. - Step 4:
