Up to $3,500 interest-free forgivable loan for down payment and closing costs (Forgivable Loan)
Loan is forgiven in full after five years of continuous owner-occupancy. If the homeowner sells, transfers title, or moves before the five-year term ends, a prorated amount must be repaid.
Eligibility
- Income limits: Income-eligible low- to moderate-income households (based on HUD AMI limits for the St. Louis MSA). Verify current income limits with Beyond Housing or City of Florissant Community Development.
- First-time buyer required: Yes — Applicants who have not owned a home within the past three years typically qualify as first-time buyers under HUD guidelines used by Beyond Housing.
- Geographic restrictions: Property must be located within the City of Florissant city limits.
- Homebuyer education required: Yes

Step 1: Contact the City of Florissant Housing and Community Development Department at (314) 839-7680 or communitydevelopment@florissantmo.com. Complete Beyond Housing homebuyer education and one-on-one housing counseling at least 10 days before closing. Apply through a Beyond Housing-approved lender.
