How to Apply for Habitat for Humanity Corpus Christi Homeownership Program
Step 1: Contact Habitat for Humanity Corpus Christi to learn about current openings and application timelines.
Step 2: Attend an informational session to understand program requirements and the partner family selection process.
Step 3: Submit a homeownership application. Selection is based on level of need, willingness to partner with Habitat, and ability to repay an affordable mortgage.
Step 4: If selected, commit to hundreds of hours of sweat equity helping build your home alongside volunteers.
Step 5: Complete required homebuyer education courses and finalize your zero-interest mortgage.

Founded in 1989, Habitat for Humanity Corpus Christi has partnered with 60 families to build homes. Recently expanded to San Patricio County. Applicants must live or work in Corpus Christi for 6 months prior to applying. Operates the ReStore, a resale shop supporting mission programs.
