How to Apply for Habitat for Humanity of Trenton Homeownership Program
Step 1: Apply through Habitat for Humanity of Trenton or Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey. Homeowners are selected based on level of need, willingness to partner with Habitat (including sweat equity hours), and ability to repay an affordable mortgage.
Notes
This is not a traditional down payment assistance program. Habitat builds or renovates homes and sells them to qualified families at affordable prices with zero-interest or low-interest mortgages. Homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity alongside volunteers. Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey also serves the Trenton/Mercer County area.
