• First-time buyer required: Yes — Designed for those who have not yet had access to the equity-building opportunity of owning a home or land
• Geographic restrictions: Wake County and Johnston County
• Homebuyer education required: Yes

Updated March 2026. Income limit changed from 60% AMI to 80% AMI per current Habitat Wake program page. Requires 200 sweat equity hours (construction, ReStore volunteering, or admin). Must be US citizen or permanent resident with residence or employment in Wake or Johnston County for past 12 months. No property ownership in past 3 years.
