Grants and subsidies reduce the loan amount so that monthly housing payments do not exceed approximately 30% of monthly income.

Eligibility

  • Income limits: Must meet Habitat for Humanity of Long Island income guidelines based on household size.
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer who will occupy the property.
  • Geographic restrictions: Homes built in Nassau and Suffolk County communities on Long Island.
  • Homebuyer education required: No
