First-Time Homebuyer Programs in New York

New York offers several statewide homebuyer assistance programs through the State of New York Mortgage Agency (SONYMA). The SONYMA Down Payment Assistance Loan (DPAL) provides up to $15,000 in zero-interest forgivable assistance, while the DPAL PLUS program offers up to $30,000 for lower-income buyers. The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York's Homebuyer Dream Program provides grants of up to $30,000 through participating lenders statewide.
