  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must not have owned a home in the past 3 years
  • Geographic restrictions: Serves Ashburnham, Ashby, Athol, Ayer, Baldwinville, Clinton, Fitchburg, Gardner, Groton, Harvard, Hubbardston, Lancaster, Leominster, Lunenburg, Petersham, Phillipston, Royalston, Shirley, Sterling, Templeton, Townsend, West Townsend, Westminster, and Winchendon
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts Homeownership Program

Step 1: Apply directly through North Central Massachusetts Habitat for Humanity. Families are selected based on level of need, willingness to partner with Habitat (including 200-350 hours of sweat equity), and ability to repay an affordable mortgage.
