Eligibility

  • Income limits: Cannot exceed income and asset limits as established by HUD.
  • First-time buyer required: Yes — Must be a first-time homebuyer.
  • Geographic restrictions: Must purchase a home in one of three designated target areas: Census Tract #1655 (Highwood), Census Tract #1656 (Hamden Plains), or the State Street Neighborhood Revitalization Zone.
  • Homebuyer education required: Yes

How to Apply for Hamden First-Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Grant
